Shawn Donaldson is Acting Director of the Chemicals Surveillance Bureau at Health Canada, co-chair of the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program’s (AMAP) Human Health Assessment Group and an adjunct research professor at Carleton University. In addition, he co-chairs the Northern Contaminants Program (NCP) Human Health Review Team and is on the NCP Management team. Dr. Donaldson’s research focuses on the impacts of contaminants on human health; climate change and human health; risk communication and management; and the application of science to public policy. Dr. Donaldson conducts the majority of his research in the circumpolar region, with a focus on Nunavut, Canada.
