The results of a new study on attitudes in Eastern Ontario towards higher education and the government’s deficit-reduction agenda will be released during a press conference in Ottawa on Jan. 29, 2013. The study, commissioned by the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA), reveals important insights into how residents of Eastern Ontario view tuition fees, government spending cuts and collective bargaining for public sector workers.

Additional findings, also focused on specific regions in Ontario, will be released in London, Ont. on Feb. 6, 2013 and Sudbury, Ont. on Feb. 28, 2013. Results for the 905 region were released on Jan. 18, 2013. OCUFA President Constance Adamson and principal investigator André Turcotte of Carleton University will be on hand to present the key findings and answer questions about the study.
