Throwback 2013—the return of Carleton’s homecoming celebration—represents a chance for all members of our community to gather and celebrate what Carleton has accomplished. A diverse series of events will highlight specific achievements, profile key alumni and researchers, and provide a forum for members of the Carleton family to reconnect with one another.

Science Alumni Panel with host John Mesman, President, Carleton Science Student Society and featuring Jason Flick, BSC/96, Co-Founder and CEO of YOUi Labs Inc., and Martin Pergler, BSCH/93, Senior Expert, Risk Practice, McKinsey & Company

Sal Alajek, Engineers Without Borders Canada
Sal Alajek, Global Engineering Team Lead for Engineers Without Borders Canada, will discuss global challenges through an engineering lens. Join students and recent alumni for this energizing discussion of change and innovation in the 21st century.

Athletics Night: Food Drive
Teams rally and work to collect non-perishable food items in support of the Student Food Centre. The teams will stockpile stores over the course of the week and bring them to the drop-off and point-tally event.

Faculty of Science 50th Anniversary Discovery Lecture & Reception: Meet Physicist Lawrence Krauss
Featuring Lawrence Krauss, theoretical physicist and Carleton graduate.

Alumni Throwback Pub
Join us at Ollie’s as alumni and students catch up. This event will feature live entertainment, door prizes and memorabilia displays. The event is free of charge, compliments of the Carleton University Alumni Association.

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Public Affairs invite their respective alumni, faculty, staff and students to celebrate the Power of the Arts Degree at this special evening presentation.

Featuring Carleton alumna Nancy Broden, BAHons/91 Art History, Design Lead on the Revenue Team at Twitter.

Drawing on her extensive professional experience, Broden will discuss the role that her Carleton BA has played in her outstanding career and how she has put her stamp on our ever-changing world.

Faculty of Engineering and Design’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Presentation
Save the date for a gala dinner to celebrate 50 years of the Faculty of Engineering and Design.

Pre-dinner receptions for the departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Systems and Computer Engineering and the School of Information Technology offer a chance to network and learn more about current programs.
