On Sept. 24, 2013, the first in a series of three lectures on the future of sustainable energy in Canada will take place at Carleton University. The Carleton Sustainable Energy Lecture Series is designed to raise awareness about current topics and issues associated with the transition to a sustainable energy future.

The first lecture, by Analytica Advisors President Celine Bak, will profile encouraging stories about entrepreneurial clean technology companies and requirements for success. Bak will argue that Canadian clean technology shows promise as treatment for both climate change and the transition to a low carbon economy.

This event is free and open to the public. Media are invited to attend.

Where: Room 2017, Dunton Tower, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa

When: Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Three Sustainable Energy lectures will take place this fall.  On Oct. 22, QUEST Executive Director Brent Gilmour will examine smart energy communities and, on Nov. 26, Alex Ferguson of Natural Resources Canada will examine net-zero energy homes across Canada.
