Carleton University’s Peter Liu, professor in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, and Ram Achar, professor in the Department of Electronics, have been elected as Fellows of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC). The fellowships are granted to leading Canadian engineers for exceptional contributions to engineering in Canada.
This year, there were 21 winners from across Canada from all engineering disciplines and all sectors, including university, industry and government.
The selection of two Carleton professors for this honour is a testament to the quality of the Faculty of Engineering and Design at Carleton.
EIC President Om Malik will present the awards at the Institute’s Annual Awards Banquet in Montreal on May 26, 2015.
