Funding Value and Duration

The Foundation does not specify a maximum level of funding; however, typical grant requests have been $25,000-$50,000 but have been up to $95,000.

Donations are normally awarded for one year, with possible extensions depending on demonstrated satisfactory progress.

Overview

The Kenneth M Molson Foundation will consider proposals for projects aimed at the promotion and development of:
• Aeronautical engineering education and research, aviation history, and aviation libraries
• Wildlife research, conservation and habitat

Donations are made to charitable and educational organizations in Canada with a significant emphasis on projects of aeronautical engineering education and research, aviation history and libraries, and wildlife research, conservation, and habitat.

Eligibility Criteria

The Foundation provides donations for ‘projects’ – not continuing ‘programs.’ Donations are made to institutions on the assumption that all donation funds will be expended on the approved project.

Indirect costs are not eligible.
