The REALISE.cybersecurity event will mark the official relaunch the REALISE series to the Carleton community sponsored by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and International); highlight Carleton’s expertise in the area of cybersecurity; and support the continued development of cross-Faculty and multi-disciplinary collaborations, including with external partners, in the area of cybersecurity

12:30 to 5:30 p.m. (Carleton researchers, Industry and Government representatives)

Agenda

Internal Carleton session 

10:15-10:30 a.m. – Arrival of researchers for internal Carleton morning session 

10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. – Welcome & Carleton internal foresight session (Jennifer O’Rourke, Public Health Agency of Canada) 

REALISE.cybersecurity workshop 

12:15-12:45 p.m. – Informal networking break & transition to lunch (arrival of guests & Rafik) – Master of Ceremonies – Dr. Chris Lannon, Director, Industry and Partnership Services (IPS), Carleton University 

12:15-12:45 p.m. – Informal networking break & transition to lunch (arrival of external guests) 

12:45 – 1:45 p.m. – Networking lunch 

1:45 – 2:00 pm – Debrief entire audience of foresight session & overview of cybersecurity at Carleton, Dr. Ashraf Matrawy, Professor, Carleton School of Information Technology, Systems and Computer Engineering, Carleton University 

2-4:15 p.m. – Theme based panels & plenary discussions- GoC & industry present emerging issues ripe for multidisciplinary collaboration, including panelists featuring CAE, Calian, Defence Research and Development Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Nokia, and Public Safety Canada, alongside featured researchers from Carleton University. 

4:15- 5:30 p.m. – Reception
