Research Facilitators are research development professionals with proficiency in a diversity of funding programs and experience in the strategic development of competitive proposals.
Faculty Research Facilitators offer:
– Advisory services
- One-on-one meetings to discuss research goals
- Information sessions and workshops
- Identification of funding and collaboration opportunities
– Funding application development
- Liaison with external agencies, partners, and university departments
- Project development and scoping
- Budget planning and development
– Review and detailed assessment
- Substantive feedback to strengthen funding applications
- Administrative review
- Budget verification
Institutional Research Facilitators offer:
Support to the Faculty Research Facilitator and researcher when they need it most, specifically in the development of institutional and major funding applications, and in priority research honours & distinctions including, but not limited to, those submitted to the:
- Canada Foundation for Innovation (John Evans Leader Fund and Innovation Fund)
- Canadian Foundations
- Priority Research Honours and Distinctions
- Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (Collaborative Research and Training Experience)
- Ontario Research Fund (Research Infrastructure Fund, Early Researcher Award)
- Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (Partnership Grant)
- Tri-Agency Institutional Programs Secretariat (Canada Research Chairs)
