Funding Value and Duration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Partner contribution starts at $7,500 per internship unit (4-6 months), which results in a $15,000 research award. Of the $15,000 award, the intern will receive a minimum $10,000 stipend\/salary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a project has 6 or more internship units with 3 or more interns, it is possible for the partner organization to contribute $6,000 per internship unit instead. This will receive a $13,300 research award with a $10,000 minimum stipend to the intern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitacs Accelerate<\/a> is Canada\u2019s premiere research internship program. It connects companies with over 50 research-based universities through graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, who apply their specialized expertise to business challenges. Interns transfer their skills from theory to real-world application, while the companies gain a competitive advantage by accessing high-quality research expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open to all disciplines and industry sectors, projects can span a wide range of areas, including manufacturing, technical innovation, business processes, IT, social sciences, design, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
