Bickell Medical Research Grants 2025\n                    <\/h1>\n                \n                                \n                            <\/header>\n\n                    <\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<div id=\"container\">\n<div id=\"content\">\n<h2>Funder&#8217;s Website<\/h2>\n<p>The funder&#8217;s website can be found <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scotiawealthmanagement.com\/ca\/en\/services\/scotiatrust\/jp-bickell-foundation\/application-process.html\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Funding Value and Duration<\/h2>\n<p>Typically, between $50,000 to $70,000 for 1-2 years<\/p>\n<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>Grants are made to assist biomedical scientists of various departments and faculties in Ontario universities, hospitals and scientific institutions concerned with medical research.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"eligibility-criteria\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation will use the following criteria in assessing applications: projects must have scientific merit and be primarily medical in nature; new researchers seeking start up grants receive priority; new, innovative projects receive priority; applications submitted should most suitably fit the institutions\u2019 requirements and the Foundation\u2019s criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grants are not made to cover deficits, or to supplement a project grant from another granting agency (except for essential equipment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For equipment costing more than $10,000 indicate the use, extent of use, availability of similar equipment and the current operating support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Carleton may submit ONE application per competition. If required, internal proposals will be adjudicated with input from an internal review committee.
