Overview<\/h2>\n

The Trebek Initiative funds storytellers, educators, conservationists, innovators and researchers who are documenting Canadian Indigenous land, wildlife, water, culture, and history. They are interested in:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Projects that explore unique ecozones in Canada,<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Scientific research on Canadian wildlife, wilderness, or water<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Photography exposition on unique Canadian geographies and communities<\/p>\n

\u00b7 New tools to create a better understanding of our environment.<\/p>\n

Funding Value and Duration<\/h2>\n

Maximum of $100K CAD, although project budgets should be submitted in USD to a max of $70K USD<\/p>\n

Duration: Typically, 12-18 months<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n

The Trebek Initiative funds projects in four categories: (1) storytelling, (2) research, (3) conservation, and (4) education, and must overlap with at least one of the focus areas: (1) land, (2) water, (3) wildlife, (4) culture, and (5) history.<\/p>\n

Project start dates must be at least six months after the submission deadline. Canadian residency is preferred but not required. Projects must be located in Canada. Applicants may submit a proposal as the project leader for only one project at a time. Unsuccessful applications are not permitted for resubmission.<\/p>\n
