Information Session on Joint Mitacs Accelerate-NSERC Alliance Advantage program

The Joint NSERC Alliance Advantage-Mitacs Accelerate grants program supports projects of varying scale and complexity, whose main thrust is the natural sciences and engineering. By furthering the partner contribution and project scope through additional Mitacs funding, this initiative supports researchers in developing meaningful R&D collaborations with tangible benefits to Canada.

The aim of this program is to enable researchers to go beyond what each standalone program offers by coupling NSERC’s support with Mitacs work-integrated learning opportunities and providing a streamlined approach to cost-sharing and submission.

Representatives from NSERC and Mitacs will co-present a program information session to researchers at Carleton University on this joint funding opportunity at the following time:

The online presentation will provide an overview on the following:

• NSERC application requirements
• NSERC Review Process
• Best Practices for NSERC submissions
• Mitacs Eligibility Criteria and Funding Structure
• Mitacs Program Updates to Forms, Application Process and Deadlines
• Resubmission Processes

There will be an opportunity for Q&A following the presentation. The IPS team will also be available to answer questions relating to Carleton’s policies and services supporting the program.
