Mitacs 101 – Hybrid Information Session on Partnering for Innovation
Mitacs is a national, independent, not-for-profit that funds collaborative research projects between academia and partner organizations through mutually beneficial, paid internships for students, post-doctoral fellows and recent graduates. Mitacs will offer a general information session to researchers at Carleton University at the following time:
Date: Wednesday, October 25th, 2023
Time: 1-2pm
Where: In person at 4014 Arise Building (for building entry, please enter through the4th floor Arise Building entrance facing the Carleton Quad /Paterson Hall) or Online at Zoom Link
Content: This hybrid presentation will provide an overview on the following:
- Mitacs programs, including eligibility criteria and types of funding
- How to apply
- Tips on partnership outreach and development
Q&A: You are welcome to submit Mitacs -related questions that you would like addressed during the session in advance using our Slido poll (open until October 24th, 2023). Please bear in mind that any project-, partner-, student-, or team-specific questions are better addressed privately via email at aboika@mitacs.ca
There will be an opportunity for you to interact with the presenters and ask questions following the presentation. The IPS & Carleton International team will also be available to answer questions relating to Carleton’s policies and services supporting the MITACS program.
