Funding
Mitacs offers a range of funding models to support student internships across various levels, including undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, postdoctoral fellows and recent graduates. The funding helps facilitate collaboration between students, academic institutions and partner organizations.
Available options include:
- $10,000 model: $10,000 per internship unit, allocated as a stipend/salary for the student intern.
- $15,000 model: $10,000 for the intern’s stipend/salary and up to $5,000 to support research-related expenses.
- $20,000 model: Only available to postdocs through the Accelerate program. Includes $15,000 for the stipend/salary and up to $5,000 for research expenses per unit.
These flexible funding models are designed to support innovation while providing valuable hands-on experience to students and postdocs.
