Sloan Research Fellowships
To stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise in chemistry, computer science, earth system science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, physics or a related field.

Applicants must be tenure-track, but untenured, as of September 15, 2024.

Institutional Quota
Three candidates per department per fellowship field can be submitted.
How to Apply
Internal Process
If the number of interested candidates exceeds the institutional quota, a committee will be struck to rank the candidates and determine which will proceed to the external competition.
External Submission Steps
Candidates submit their nomination package through the online portal. Each nomination must include a letter signed by a nominator.
A cuResearch Approval Form is needed prior to submission.
