Partnership Grants provide support for new and existing formal partnerships to advance research, research training and/or knowledge mobilization in the social sciences and humanities. This is done through mutual co-operation and sharing of intellectual leadership, as well as through resources as shown by cash and/or in-kind contributions.

Visit the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) website for more information on the Partnership Grants.

How to Apply

Internal Process

Prospective Stage 1 applicants are asked to complete an online registration form. Upon receipt of the registration form, they will be sent a template for an internal application.

All internal applications will undergo a peer review from faculty members with relevant experience. The purpose of the peer review is to provide applicants with constructive feedback to help them develop a strong proposal. The internal application and peer review is mandatory.

Institutional and Faculty Research Facilitators will support the development of the Stage 1 application.

External Submission Steps

Applicants submit their proposals through the SSHRC Portal. The Carleton Office for Research Initiatives and Services (CORIS) undertakes an administrative review prior to forwarding the application to SSHRC.

cuResearch Approval Form is needed prior to submission.
