Value and Duration

Overview

Discovery Grants are available in two funding streams:

Applications require an institutional signature from the Carleton Office for Research Initiatives and Services (CORIS) Director prior to submission. Please contact Katie Harriman for support and coordination of institutional signature.

Eligibility

The Discovery Grant Program encourages applications from multidisciplinary teams, especially those that include collaborators from outside the ALS field. Eligible teams must demonstrate complementary expertise and a collaborative approach to tackling ALS-related challenges.

The Principal Investigator (PI) must hold an independent academic position and be conducting research at a qualifying Canadian institution for the full duration of the grant, as defined by Canadian Institutes
of Health Research (CIHR) guidelines.

For both streams, at least one additional co-investigator from a different institution or a distinct department within the same institution is required.
