Applications are submitted by publishers, in collaboration with authors. Grants are paid directly to the publisher. The application is not submitted through Carleton.
The Scholarly Book Awards — Translation Grants provide $30,000 to offset the cost of translation and publication.

$30,000 annually (April 1 to March 31)
Eligibility
Canadian authors and publishers of scholarly books in the humanities and social sciences are eligible to apply. Applications are submitted by publishers, in collaboration with authors.

Submitting Your Application
- Submit an internal Approval Form through our central awards management database cuResearch.
- Submit an external application to the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences by following the appropriate submission guidelines.
