Overview

CANSSI Ontario is looking to fund projects that benchmark AI progress in statistics and data science. The aim of this competition is to support projects that create high-quality benchmarks based on representative dataset slices to enable the evaluation of new AI models, while also developing AI-ready annotated and curated datasets.

Value

CANSSI Ontario is looking to fund projects at the level of $10,000 each. Special consideration for budgets of up to $50,000.

Eligibility

The project lead must be a faculty member at a CANSSI Ontario partner university.

They are eligible to apply if they hold a faculty appointment in a statistics or biostatistics unit (department, division or school), or if they are a faculty member appointed to a different unit with a PhD in statistics or biostatistics.
