Overview
The program’s primary goal is to support projects focused on developing statistical methodology. A secondary goal is to foster research by mitigating the high cost of access to many datasets.
Value
These grants of up to $5,000 cover costs associated with accessing and working with large data sources, which are necessary to carry out data-intensive research and application.
Eligibility
Projects must clearly align with the program’s primary goal of developing statistical methodology.
Applicants must be trainees or faculty members at a CANSSI Ontario partner university.
Each proposal must involve two faculty members from different academic units (e.g., departments, divisions, faculties or affiliated research institutes), where at least one faculty member is appointed to a statistics or biostatistics unit, or is a statistics/biostatistics scientist based in a mathematics department or a public health school/division.
