Overview

The 2026 call for proposals invites projects on typically developing children aged 3 to 12, using longitudinal and dense measurement approaches, to capture dynamic learning processes over time. Projects will contribute to a global research network and a shared, cross-cultural open dataset on learning and development.

Priority is given to studies that support causal inference, examine environmental and contextual influences, and advance understanding of variability within children and across contexts. Projects in underrepresented regions are strongly encouraged.

Eligibility

Applications are open to researchers worldwide affiliated with eligible academic or research institutions.

Applicants must have obtained a PhD or equivalent degree at least five years (excluding career breaks) prior to the application deadline.

Projects must focus on children aged 3 to 12 years.

Proposals should administer the complete LEVANTE core assessment measures.

Submitting Your Application

The application process consists of three stages:

  1. Initial application (general information, application form, CV)
  2. Extended proposal (extended proposal form, timeline, budget)
  3. Interview
