The Office of the Vice-President (Research, Innovation and International) (OVPRII) leads efforts to enhance research capacity and strength, and foster research collaborations at Carleton University.
Our office is part of a research support network for researchers across campus.

Our Team
OVPRII is comprised of five key units, as well as centralized staff. Learn more about how they support research and meet our team members:

Carleton International (CI)
Partners with universities, governments, industries and organizations to make our university a global hub of intellectual engagement.

Carleton Office for Research Initiatives and Services (CORIS)
Supports researchers to identify research funding, strengthen grantsmanship, use cuResearch, manage Tri-Agency, CFI and Canadian Foundation awards, and navigate post-award processes.

Centralized Staff
Supports the Vice-President (Research, Innovation and International), as well as the individual units, in various areas of work.

Industry and Partnership Services (IPS)
Facilitates collaboration between researchers and external partners with the aim of strengthening research programs and helping partners meet research and development needs.

Office of Research Ethics
Serves as a research ethics resource for projects involving human participants, animals and biohazards.

Safeguarding Your Research
Supports researchers with enhancing the security of sensitive technology research.
