Jessica Adam joined Carleton University in September 2023 as Director of Research Security. In this role, she leads the strategic direction of the portfolio and is responsible for the operations and delivery of a program designed to help researchers protect themselves and their sensitive research data and intellectual property. Ms. Adam evaluates current policies, practices and programs to deliver expert counsel to faculty and staff alike, instructing on how the application of best practices can render successful funding applications and ensure transparent, secure and mutually beneficial collaborations and research partnerships.
With more than 15 years of experience working in progressively senior positions in both government and non-profit organizations, Ms. Adam has a unique command of the risk landscape and the geopolitical levers of influence that shape it.
