Prosenjit (Jit) Bose

Associate Vice-President (Research)

In his role as Associate Vice-President (Research), Jit draws on his extensive experience with external funding agencies and scholarly organizations to help advance Carleton’s research enterprise.

Jit is a Chancellor’s Professor in the School of Computer Science. He earned his BMath and MMath from the University of Waterloo and his PhD in Computer Science from McGill University, where he received the D.W. Ambridge Award for best PhD thesis.

His research interests include computational geometry, graph theory, data structures, and the design and analysis of algorithms.

Since joining Carleton, Jit has held numerous leadership positions, including Director of the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Computer Science and Graduate Director of the School of Computer Science, as well as Associate Dean (Research and Graduate Studies) and Associate Dean (Research and International) in the Faculty of Science.
