In addition to the hormones in your blood and neurotransmitters in your brain, stress can also affect the brain’s inflammatory immune system. One source of stress that appears especially potent in eliciting these changes is social interaction.

Join Marie-Claude Audet, research associate in the Department of Neuroscience, as she reviews the scientific evidence showing that social stressors may contribute to brain inflammation, depression and anxiety.
