Carleton Researchers Have the Answers at This Weekend’s Curiosity Shop

This Saturday, Carleton University is joining with the Council of Ontario Universities (COU) and the University of Ottawa at the Curiosity Shop hosted at the Museum of Science and Technology for Winterlude’s Cool Science Saturday. Carleton experts will be on hand to answer your burning research-related questions. Ever wondered how nanotechnology can help feed the world? Or how safe our public water supply is? Researchers, including Carleton Prof. Maria DeRosa, will fill you in.

When: Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at 12 p.m.

Where: Museum of Science and Technology, 1867 St. Laurent Boulevard, Ottawa

The event is part of the COU’s Research Matters initiative. As part of the initiative, a provincewide virtual scavenger hunt is running throughout February that takes the public on a journey into research taking place at every publicly-assisted university in Ontario.

On March 4, 2014, Maria DeRosa will be speaking about nanotechnology and food production at the Research Matters What Matters Now event in Thunder Bay, Ont. You can read about her talk and find more details about the event here.
